Dr. Kim Bullock, M.D.

Dr. Bullock is a full clinical professor and XR researcher in Stanford’s School of Medicine. She is triple board certified in Psychiatry, Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry, as well as Lifesytle medicine. She founded and directs the Stanford's Neurobehavioral Clinic and the Virtual Reality & Immersive Technologies (VR-IT) program and laboratory. She has published many peer-reviewed journals and is a Cambridge and Oxford Press author. She is the creator of Psychiatry XR a monthly podcast for all stakeholders including; clinicians, researchers, mental health providers, XR developers, investors, patients, and anyone fascinated by the ways in which evidence-based medicine and technologies can be used in mental and behavioral health. Dr. Bullock sees patients, teaches, and engages in research in Stanford’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. She takes a holistic, customized, and personal approach to each client and encourages family and community involvement in the treatment process. In addition to medication management, she is intensively trained and teaches both cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). She runs weekly DBT groups for friends and family, neuropsychiatric patients, and DBT graduates as well as delivers individual comprehensive DBT and CBT and virtual reality (VR) psychotherapies. She presents and speaks on the subject of VR and DBT/CBT internationally and locally. Dr Bullock enjoys working with patients with multiple problems including and related to anxiety, mood, relationships and/or physical symptoms.  She is passionate about helping others make lifestyle changes and develop skills to become both mentally and physically healthy and enhancing care using technology.

Dr. Bullock received her undergraduate degree with honors and distinction in physiology and psychology from the University of California, San Diego, Revelle College and her medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Washington Hospital in D.C. and psychiatry residency at Stanford University. Dr. Bullock is an accomplished athlete, completing multiple trialthlons, completing yogini 300h of yoga training and has recently obtained her American Sailing Association’s skipper and celestial navigation certification
